The start to something great

Good evening to everyone on the east coast and to everyone else good day.

This is a post just to talk about a few things :) For one, I will be posting more frequently now... I am sorry to the few who actually read this but I have been rather busy since I started college in August.

How has everyone been? email me with questions, comments, concerns to thebakerintraining@gmail.com I wont bite I promise.

I have been rather good. I am now learning how to manage a lot of things at once. I was going crazy just some weeks ago because I work at a bakery, about 30+ hours a week then I am a full time student. I can honestly say I have little to no social life. Well, let me rephrase that, I had no social life but I am now learning to manage everything more precise so I do have time to have some me time and hang out with friends.

I can not remember if I ever told you guys that I got a job in my industry a couple of months ago. I am going to school for baking and pastry and at the beginning of March I got an interview, which later became a position at this amazing pie shop. My roommates say that I am just too lucky because of this which I will not doubt but just like I tell them, whenever I have my bad luck it comes in a big tidal wave of bad luck. Since I have been up here I have lost my debit/bank card well over 8 different times. I also managed to loose my wallet which held a lot of important documents in it among other things. The good thing is though everything has been better since then.

On a different note, does anyone know anything about investing in stocks and so forth? I am considering if I should start investing in a few things but I have no clue on exactly what/where to start. If you have any help feel free to email me at thebakerintraining@gmail.com as well. Thank you!

I will end it here for now but until then have a great night and I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day here in the states.

P.S. If you have any topics you would like for me to discuss or just questions you would like help with please email me at thebakerintraing@gmail.com :)

Until next time, take care!

My Life

Good afternoon everyone,

How has everyone been? Sorry for the people who actually ready my blog. I have had some set backs with my laptop so it is very difficult at the moment to blog on a daily schedule like I would like to do but soon enough I will get a job and fix my laptop then I will be posting more often.

"Vodka Lemon Meringue Pie"

I have been in college for 6 months now and it has been going pretty good so far. I have taken my foundations of cooking class and currently I am taking Latin cuisine as well as Intro to Baking and Pastry. I will post some pictures of my creations a little bit later. I am currently looking for a job in the food industry so if anyone lives in the DC/Northern Virginia area feel free to comment below if you know of anything. I did have a job for about four months working for Chipotle, which I highly recommend instead of eating McDonald's or Taco bell. Yes the prices at Chipotle are a bit higher than other fast food restaurants but it is worth it as long as you don't eat it on a daily basis. The picture to the left is one of the many dishes I made for my roommates for Thanksgiving. It is a homemade Vodka Lemon Meringue pie.

So can I just say I was very happy when it first snowed up here. It did suck a bit whenever it started getting cold because my wardrobe was not made for cold weather seeing that I am from North Carolina where we see snow maybe once a year and if it snows it never last that long. So I quickly picked up on how to dress in the cold. So I have been up here for awhile as you have read previously and I am not the one to just stay inside doing nothing so one Saturday I left early in the morning and went into DC and did some site seeing, which I highly recommend everyone who can do it to do it but just make sure to have some water and good shoes. That say I took the Holocaust Tour, The Engraving tour(it is basically a tour on how to make money, has everyone seen the new currency? The hundred dollar bill looks amazing.), then I went to about 8 different Smithsonians, The Capital building, many of the monuments, and of course I had to go to the White house and I assure you if you don't have a detailed map on how to get there or if you don't pay attention on where you are going you will get lost. The good thing about DC is that there is a Starbucks on just about every block.

On a different note, has everyone seen "Bridegroom"? If you have not I highly suggest you go and watch it. It is available on Netflix for anyone who has an account. You can find out more about the movie by clicking here. This documentary if very emotional so be prepared to cry a bit. I will not talk much about it just yet because I am preparing to write a post more in def about it so be prepared for that.

This is it for now hopefully you enjoyed this blog and will share it with others. Down below are more pictures of my work :) My posting schedule will be iffy but I will try to post once a week. Hope everyone has a great depending on what part of the world you are in.
